CTO FILTER

Carbon block filter consisting of monolithic activated carbon, which removes any organic matter, chlorine, odor and turbidity.
Compared to a granular carbon filter, the surface area of the carbon block is much larger, as well as the number of active centers, making it up to 25% more efficient than other types of carbon cartridges. Filters mechanical impurities. Carbon cartridges are especially recommended for cleaning surface waters.
Carbon block is a relatively new technology that uses activated carbon.
The carbon block has a solid monolithic structure and is technologically more advanced than traditional bulk filters.
The carbon block is usually made from activated carbon powder, which is mixed with ground polyethylene and sintered: fine carbon particles (from 20 to 50 microns) are "glued" to each other under the influence of temperature.
This results in a neat sorbent (absorption) medium whose properties, such as porosity, can be controlled during production. Moreover, these properties remain constant throughout the lifetime.
Due to the fact that the sorbent particles are bound to each other, there is practically no channel effect in the carbon blocks, which is characteristic of conventional bulk filters.

PRIMARY FILTERS

In order for the membranes to last longer, it is necessary to additionally treat the water beforehand. For this, osmosis systems use primary water treatment filters. A pre-filter is a filter that collects particles before the water enters the membrane, which is usually more expensive than a pre-filter. The membrane is designed to filter the smallest particles. Pre-filters help the membrane to last longer and also save money that you would spend on frequent membrane replacements.

The filter is designed to treat cold drinking water. Before the first use, it is recommended to soak in water for about 1 hour or to rinse with water for several minutes, as indicated in the operating instructions of the device where you are using the filters. Filters should not be used to treat water of unknown origin or microbiologically contaminated water.
